Monarch announces £165 million investment
Not Just Travel is incredibly pleased to publicise the breaking news that Monarch has now secured a £165 million investment and confirmed the renewal of their ATOL licence.
Steve Witt, Managing Director of Not Just Travel, commented “Monarch are a fantastic company to work with and they have shown Not Just Travel enormous support over the years.” He explains “Over the past month when their future has been uncertain, I’m pleased to say our Travel Consultants have rallied and supported Monarch, reassuring all of our customers and continuing to sell Monarch holidays.”
The uncertainty of Monarch’s future over the past month, has again highlighted the importance of booking a holiday through a reputable travel consultant. It has also turned the spotlight on the relevance of choosing a holiday that is protected by the UK’s ATOL scheme.
Witt continues: “Our highly-trained and growing team of travel consultants offer fantastic personal service to consumers and are always at the end of the phone. They have the knowledge of and access to the best deals around. Most importantly they can provide advice, assistance and reassurance to holidaymakers, should anything go wrong, and then help organise either a full refund or a re-booking when things do.
In the case of Monarch, we have not needed to exercise this expertise; the investment is the biggest in the airlines 48-year history and it has been announced on the day that their temporarily extended ATOL licence was due to expire.
As reported in Travel Weekly on 12th October 2016, Andrew Swaffield, Chief Executive Officer of The Monarch Group, commented: “I’d like to thank the CAA, our shareholders, partners, loyal customers and the team at Monarch for helping us to achieve this successful outcome. We are now firmly focused on the future as a stronger Monarch.”
Not Just Travel wishes Monarch every success in the future and looks forward to a continued fantastic relationship with them.
