Welcome to Normandy

Normandy The grand-Parisian-hotel feeling reigns here. The Haussmann architectural details, such as the marble colonnades, the scroll staircase, and the series of reception rooms, create a majestic decor with a pleasantly retro feel. The venerable restaurant, dating back to 1877, brightens up breakfast time. Il Palazzo has regained its lustre after a meticulous renovation and a contemporary use of space achieved by Marc Dumas. The sumptuous 7-foot high ceilings, in true Napoleon III style, bear witness to the glorious moments experienced by this Parisian institution. The view of the Louvre and Rue St-Honoré, reputed for its haute-couture shops, is an exceptional privilege that the rooms and suites generously grant to guests. French savoir-faire is evident in the elegant decor and the attentive, discreet service. Location The location of this hotel is excellent, just off to the famous area of the Louvre Museum, Place de La Concorde, Place Vendome and Avenue de l'Opera. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the subway station (line 14). The district is very attractive, and offers many advantages, such as fashionable boutiques on Faubourg Saint Honore, restaurants and public transport. Distance 15 kms to the airport (paris-orly international airport) 25 kms to the airport (paris-charles de gaulle airport) 1 minute walk to the nearest metro station (palais royal/pyramide) 1 km to the nearest station (gare du nord) 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop Rooms The standard rooms are 16 sqm, with either 1 double bed or 2 twin beds. The decor is simple and elegant. Each room has a different colour scheme, with traditional Louis 16 style furniture. Restaurant The breakfast room is located on the ground floor, and welcomes its guests with its red and gold colour scheme. Exterior The hotel is a traditional style, 6 storey building. Lobby The lobby is medium in size. It is an open space from the entrance hall to the lounge, and maintains the nostalgia of a European hotel from the good old days. There is an English bar too.
